New Artwork Complete

BAD! Kitty Art Studio
New Work...
24" X 30"
Staple free sides
oils and mixed media
well...the pictures didn't want to turn out for me like I wanted but here it is.
I don't have a title for it yet. I used flat backed glass marbles, metallic powders, oil paint, skeleton leaves, and a photo I found somewhere along the way.
Here's the quote that inspired the work:
"Our roots grow upwards not downwards
that's why we sometimes feel
like our lives are upside down."
~Jena Griffiths
Let me know what you think...
Have a good one,

I love this one! Very Mysterious...I want to just sit and stare at it. But unfortunately housework beckons! lol
Cool beans...I wanna know the title when you come up with it.

That's a very cool quote...and from the description of your materials, it sounds like this has a bit of a textural/3d quality to your paintings. I especially like the leaf images.

Thanks to you both! Yes, most of my mixed media work is very 3D. I love texture and I add it whenver I think I can get away with it. The pictures didn't show the glass drops like I wanted...they are painted behind, so the color shows through and gives a really neat dimsional effect...and the leaves are painted and then applied...I like this one it made me feel better when I was done...with the world all topsy turvy and myself living in's a good work for my inner me...I hope others can relate as well.
