OK, well...last night we had the gallery opening. It was really quite nice, not many people but the ones that came were wonderful and talkative. This is the first show I have done where there were so many technical questions asked of me about my work. It was fun getting to explain that I didn't know the rules of art, so I just do what I do and when it works...it's really fun to see what happens for me too.

Everyone that came into my space was visibly taken with my work, that was too much fun to watch, people would come into the room, and then you could see it on their faces...wow, what's this? That really was great fun to see...because they all liked it, and they all wanted to talk to me and ask me questions about the work...it was fun. I didn't make any sales, but I did get a lot of validation about what I do and that was really nice.

The photographer from the newspaper came and asked a bunch of questions and was super nice...and he took like a bazillion pictures...my smile muscles started twitching at one point...LOL.

I met one of the high school art teachers and she asked me a metric ton of questions and then asked me if I would come back to the gallery next week and talk to her students about art and my mixed media work...I said yes of course...what a fun time that will be! I am excited about that.

I did get a new pair of super sexy black shoes to wear...OMG! My feet hurt so bad by the time we got home...but I was uber cute so who cares?

We also got to go without taking the boys with us, Mate Man found a super nice young woman at his work that agreed to watch the boys for us, and they had a good time too...and I got to be out with Mate Man...after dark...alone! Gasp!

So...that's the day after report.

I did get more work done on the new painting...and I have just a few more things to do before I call it quits on her...I really will be happy to move on to new things to be honest, I am sick of this work...which tells me I almost done.
