Quote of the day
***
In the dark colony of night, when I consider man's magnificent capacity for malice, madness, folly, envy, rage, and destructiveness, and I wonder whether we shall not end up as breakfast for newts and polyps, I seem to hear the muffled cries of all the words in all the books with covers closed.

The day after...watching mass murder on CNN reported live and sensationalized.
I wonder where we are heading, what will become of our spirits,
what is lost in our souls?
I just wanted to check the news in the morning, while I attended to my daily workout...and was faced with murder unfolding.
It's a scary world, with sad people, and up to the minute reporting.
May the families of the wounded and dead find peace.
And may I remember to never watch the news again.
It just fucks up my head.
I am going to paint, in the quiet...no noise, no outside world...no distractions...I will paint out my understanding, my path for peace, my love, my pain.
I paint for the souls of the departed, and the crazy-ness of this world we live in.
May their souls rest in peace.
May the living find the strength to continue on and survive this tragedy.
It's just so God awful.
I had planed a whole different topic of writing today...but I just went where my heart took me instead...I'll try again tomorrow.
Share your love today.

Amen.
Someone said something about reducing clutter in yor life including reducing the noise and the sensory input from news sources, computers, TV, etc. I think that's good advice just now. Still -- I want to understand why he did it, but I probably never will.
Good quote.
I don't want to know why he did what he did...I am numb at this point to the horrors of the human condition...after 9-11, after the amish school shootings, after the daily input of life/death with the war...I just want a quiet space where I can settle my mind and heart, knowing there is a better way to living in this life, in this world. I never watch TV anymore, I just bought a new exercise machine and thought what the heck...I'll check in on the world while I sweat off the fat...and BAM! I don't want to know why he did it, I want to know what we can do as a world as the human race....to stop it from happening again....back to my studio where the easel only tells the story thats in my head...that my friend can be scary enough for this girl.
More senseless tradgedy. That's why I RARELY watch the news or read the main papers. Sometimes ignorance is bliss. MY heart goes out to thoe families left behind. God Bless them all! And us too.
It is a crazy world....you're right...all we can do is keep on creating and spread the love.
