Kentucky Rocks!

We moved to the Bluegrass state for many reasons.
None of them were to live in this state
because of the people who also live here.
I just have to say one thing about living in this wonderful place.
The people here are it's gold mine.
Never in my life, and in all the cities, towns, and states that I have lived in
have I ever experienced such a wealth
of wonderful, kind, and talented people.
This is a beauty of living that I will carry in my heart for as long as I live.
Kentucky has got to have the greatest people on the whole planet.
Every single person we have met, has been genuine and sincerely nice.
No, I am not bull-shitting you.
The bluegrass state is now my home, and I had no idea what I
was getting myself into by moving here. I worried that I would not fit
in, I worried that people wouldn't like me or our family (we artists are a little weird looking sometimes).
I worried for no reason.
The school that my children go to is one of the best in the
country, progressive, wonderful committed teachers,
and they have been super nice to my boys.
My oldest sons teacher sent him a hand written, postcard in the mail
to welcome him into her class!
Tell me, has this ever happened to you?
Of the people who work here in Danville,
not one has been mean, rude, snippy, or in anyway dismissive.
They have all looked us in the eye, cared about the job they are doing,
no matter what it is, and have been so nice, I have to keep pinching myself to make sure I am awake.
The people who live in our neighborhood have been welcoming,
genuine and gracious.
The community that we live in is not only beautiful to look at in every way,
but the town itself seems to hum with forward thinking people,
art in every form abounds,
education is a big deal, and the people are savvy, intelligent and I have experienced a general sense of love that I have never felt anywhere before.
I love this place.
I have to say, that I have never experienced
such a wealth of human beings in all my days,
and I thank the Universe
for guiding me to this blessed land.
Thank you Kentucky, Thank you Danville,
for changing my perspective
on the whole of humanity.
Thank you for lifting up my heart, spirit and mind.
Gods bless the Bluegrass State.
