Here is the quote that inspired the work:
“The world breaks everyone, and afterward some are strong at the broken places.” ~Ernest Hemingway
The Ironwood Tree is all about bending, all about being able to not get out of the rain, but dance in it. This time we are living through is tough, hard on the ego, hard on the stress, hard on the pocketbook. Times they are tough. Many of us are trying to find our way back to who we thought we were, I’ve decided to stand true and bend. Lean into this time, ask what I can learn, and continue forward. I paint. I create. I love and live right out loud. I am in harmony with my true self and this storm will pass and I will still be standing, Bent but not Broken.
Have a great day and thanks for being here,
Heather

ABSOLUTELY love the symbolism in this. Wonderful message to remember. Also really like the shadow play on the grasses . Nicely done, Heather.
