I am in a place of gratitude today...
because a dear friend of mine is organizing the retreat above...
and I offered to provide some of my
A.I.M. Series magnets to her event
for doorprizes and she said "yes, please!'
Her event will be based on mindfulness, and so I will create
a special series just for her on that topic.
I am full of gratefulness for the opportunity
to be in some way involved in this enlightening
experience and that my work is being
recognized by someone I respect deeply as a Human being
& I get to help benefit her cause/dream.
I am excited to get to work on the new series,
which I will not offer to the general public,
but will be made only for her and her wonderful event.
Please check out her event plans, and join in if you can, it's sure to be a life changer, and a mind opener.
Ms. Kelly is a wonderful Ordained Spiritual Oracle and Teacher,
and even better yet she is a wonderful true Human being, heart and soul.

Monday again, and I begin again to act to conquer my own world, inner not outer.
I miss the company of friends, and feel the pain of that truth,
and sometimes fear that I should not always speak in truth, so as to not have that knowledge used against me later, to cause me pain, for the other humans control or pleasure, passive or ignorant...
It still amounts to pain for me, as a human, not an ego.
When I speak truth to someone, and say to them
" I have experienced this in my past, and I wish to not repeat it, please don't do this to me and all will be well."
I always am doing so with the hope that I have not just passed a poisoned dagger to someone who will later use that information about my past pain to repeat it again in my present.
It is so hard to fully trust without any ego, without expectation, without need.
I am learning to live in solitude, and that may be what my inner needs are right now, but I can't help fighting my human desires for true and lasting friendships, family, and love.
I am working on my thinking today,
I will work with my coaching clients with this in my mind today,
knowing that in order to be the best at what I do, I must do it without any expectation of a return for myself, for my ego. I must just simply love each moment, and work within that moment, to see to it's truth,
that I am truly living and loving
in freedom.
It's not easy being human, it's not easy being alone, it's not easy to ask for nothing, to expect nothing, and still give of yourself fully, not for the self, but selflessly giving
from a true place of love and tolerance.
Such responsibility those words hold, and
such freedom, transcendence from the
simple Human needs; a willingness not sacrifice the self, but to enliven
the soul with the act of saying "yes" to my now,
my set of circumstances, my today.
Living in this moment, learning what I need, asking for what I want,
being open, being quiet, not reacting to the world,
but interacting with all of the world as it is today.
My goal for the day,
stay here, play with, love and learn
this now...And make it something that I can feel good about
inside my soul, not my ego...
when I lay my weary head on my pillow tonight,
and count another day done.

I have an incredibly busy day

I am booked for the next two days solid, just trying to catch up.

and not enough hours to do it in.

A BAD! Kitty Note to Readers

A note to my Loyal Fans:
Dear Reader,
I am moving to a new place and while I transfer
everything into the new digs,
I will be down from computer access for a little while.
Maybe even a week! Maybe even more! OMG!!! No!
Gasp! I know, I am not sure I can make it...no internet?!
:)
So... While Being forced to be quiet will be good
for my works and words,
I ask that you not abandon me while
I put all my puzzle pieces together again.
I should return by the
end of next week, and I have new
ART
to share and show you all.
I just need a few days to figure everything out, and the
installer for the internet has not given me a
date for hook up yet, just a 1-5 day window...
so don't give up on me,
and I will return soon with more
great things to share, show
and tell you all about...
in about a week from today.

BAD! Kitty Art Studio ~ Artist Blog~ Sunday & my world is at rest

Once there was a little girl,
who loved to swing on the
old oak plank rope swing in the back yard of her
grandparents ancient home
thick with the smell of the Florida Gulf waters
swimming in her lungs.
She would swing as high as she could
legs pumping like pistons,
the rope making the tree limbs
groan like a heart breaking.
She would reach the highest point she could
when the swing was so fast and strong
that her insides felt like they
were going to be outside,
then and only then
would she throw her head back
long hair flying wildly and tangling in the rope
and let the ground rush up to meet her
and watch the world from
upside down
while the swing slowly
slowed down and
came to rest.
Most times she would
continue to hang there
upside down
looking up through the paper bark
tree leaves, the sun so hot and huge in the sky
the blood would start rushing to her head.
When she sat up finally
and righted the world again, there
was always a touch of
sadness at the corners her full mouth.
Swinging was great,
it was the stopping that was hard to do.
Looking into the mirror I recognize that girl.
I still like viewing the world
upside down, with my hair in my face,
and the inside rushing
out.
I am no longer sad when I swing.
I am freer than I was then,
as a girl in the backyard of indifferent
family members.
I let those memories surface
so that I may keep that little girl around for a bit longer,
I am no longer that person,
but she was a sweet little girl once,
and I like to remember
her swinging
her head thrown back and clean
hair dragging in the dry dust at her feet.
I like to think about her hanging there,
suspended in time
looking at the world upside down
and knowing
she was right.

To Risk Or not to Risk that is the question

(Note to reader: As always, of course you need to be willing to take all consequences of your actions.)
100 people aged 100 were asked:
“What do you regret most?
What would you do differently?
”The majority answered: “I wish I had risked more”.

We regret the things we don't do, far more than the things we do.
Fear STOPS us living.
We get a sense of security.... which can be upset at any moment anyway. Control is an illusion - we can't control events.
So it’s a sad joke on us humans that the people who try hardest to live in their comfort zones get upset the most.
Once we accept that we can’t control life,
and that comfort is not very fulfilling,
we are free to risk.
What can happen?
Rejection, moving into a smaller home,
losing our partner, breaking an arm, losing a job we like etc.
But above all we fear looking silly, foolish, or failing at something.
What would your life be like if for the past
10 years you had lived without fear?
What if life is a game, and we've forgotten?
We attach significance to everything
- no I can't ask her out because XXXX,
I shouldn't apply for that job -
I wouldn't get it.
I'm not going to take singing lessons -
I'm not any good.
If you feel you are at risk of regretting
not fully living your life
when you lie on your death bed,

Recycled thinking...



Packing, tape spinning out
the smell of cardboard and sweat.
Books old and frayed,
placed into these boxes,
pictures of loved ones,
trinkets of a life that no longer exists.
Choosing, value based on emotional attachments
and practical needs.
Watching my life being reduced to another pile of brown boxes.
I am happy.
With my boxed life,
as we draw our wagons together
to recreate ourselves into the beings
we are meant to be
and serve to greater good as we were made to do.
Accomplishment is all in the mind.
Virtue is the deed.
Wisdom is knowing when to put the best
of your memories into another brown box
and move into the future of the un-known.

Telling the Truth

Telling the truth is not just about not lying.

It is about honoring yourself—expressing what you truly want.

It is about saying what is there for you—what is in the space between you when you look at the other person.

“Of course!” You may say.

But we stop short all the time, don’t we?

Or we share irresponsibly by blaming and shaming.

We do this for several reasons:

1. Fear [that the other person will not like us, leave us, that we will not be liked, etc]


2. Fear that the other will respond in a way that we do not want to deal with [shame, upset, etc—essentially their inability to “hear” our truth]


3. Attachment to the Other or to the relationship and being identified with it as the “I”—feeding in on 1 and 2 above

4. While 2 is a real and valid fear that can be verified in our experience with the person we are in relationship with, numbers one and three are due to a lack of a healthily developed ego which can certainly be overcome.


5. We blame and shame for an often hollow and short term “self-esteem” boost. Not really esteem for the self at all—but pre-rational ego where we indulge in superiority or go for that pound of flesh or that pint of blood. To extract payment for “wrongs” and lose all graciousness and openness. In the end, this is a lose-lose approach.

As in all things related to evolution, it is not a question of whether we experience the above or not—but rather to what degree.
What is fundamentally necessary for telling the truth

is our ability to witness our sensations and emotions

as well as meta-cognition

—that is thinking about our thinking

or about our own process.

It is these skills of self-observation that allow

us to notice when we have internal dissonance

and to notice how telling the truth typically relieves that tension.

We can also share “responsibly”.

That is we can say “I am noticing I am…” upset, etc. rather than the irresponsible “you upset me”, etc.
Additionally, the acceptance that there is no true “one” for us assists in relieving the attachment once noticed.

That there are many and that each relationship we have will be deeper and richer for so long as we are conscious and consciously evolving we are attaining greater depths.

As a result, we can reflect back greater depths.

As a result we have deeper and richer relating.

We often also confuse qualities that we love for the people—collapsing qualities with identity.


The truth, contrary to the Platonic view of love,

is that there is no “other half” for us to find or be completed by.

And to paraphrase Nathaniel Branden,

until one is completely at ease

with the truth that they are ultimately alone

are they ready for healthy romantic love.

BAD! Kitty Art Studio Shares the wealth, in learning that is, how to make some.

BAD! Kitty learns some pretty good stuff...

You know we are moving, across the country, and while we are putting all of our treasures into boxes, we also have to think about our 'out of the box' investments. Where they should stay, and where to invest them smartly for the future.

One thing is for sure, the economy is rough every where,

So recently while we were taking with our professional Money advisors, they brought up a good point about putting some money into things like bullion coins, gold, silver, platinum... And that sort of thing.

We have been thinking about this a lot and research shows that in proven periods of time of economic failure that these investments held up better than that of blue chip stocks & the like.

So busy and working so hard all day.
The sale is going on Full Speed, and yesterday was slow and we still did pretty good...for a dozen total customers. We have a differnt paln today, and we will see if it brings more people in to see my treasures.
Nothing will stop us now, nothing will
slow this train down,

to hitting the road...

BAD! Kitty all NEWS Friday


More news you can use...are you still planning your summer time fun?
You know... I grew up in Southern Florida,
so this is the inside scoop...
and we used to go and take the best yearly
family vacations in the Orlando area of Florida.
Such a wonderful town, not to mention Disney,
and the shop's and local flair it is
terrific fun for every age and type of person.
There is Nature, theme parks, shopping, food and so much more!
My Dad used to get us these great places to stay while in the area
and it was so great, just like being at home but
even better!
So, if you are still planning you summer vacation & want one that will not be forgotten, don't overlook the Orlando area for fun and right now...money saving adventures!
